Woven 1950's European Scenes 

Anna Zaharakos has translated her father's vintage photography into woven textiles, creating an elegant series of wall hangings. Photographs by Joal Cronenwett feature the European countryside of the 1950's captured with a classic Rolleiflex camera.  After World War II, newlyweds Joal and Laura Cronenwett were stationed in Stuttgart Germany with the US Army reconstruction effort.  Time off allowed the two young architects to travel the countryside and collect these stunning European scenes.
